Terms of Use

You may use the app to discover, organize, and discuss baby and pet names. You are responsible for your use of the app, your account credentials, and activity performed through your account.

Do not misuse the service, attempt to access another person’s information, interfere with the app or its infrastructure, automate abusive requests, or use pairing invitations without authorization.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these terms. Do not use Pickle if the law where you live does not allow you to do so.

An account is optional for local discovery. Cloud sync and cross-device access require an account, and partner matching also requires a verified email address. During registration you select a country for regional suggestions and app-user trends; it is saved with the account and can be changed in Settings. You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure.

Guest profile information and an optional guest country choice are stored on the device and can be lost if the app is removed, app data is cleared, or the device is lost or damaged. Guests may skip the country step. If regional trend contribution is enabled, Pickle may transmit the limited pseudonymous activity and deidentified aggregate totals described in the Privacy Policy.

Only pair with someone you trust. A paired partner can see mutual matches and your display name. You are responsible for sharing invite codes or QR codes securely and for the information you choose to place in shared features.

Meanings, origins, gender labels, suitability scores, popularity estimates, pronunciation characteristics, and related-name suggestions are provided for discovery and entertainment. Names can have multiple histories and cultural interpretations.

The app does not guarantee that catalog information is complete, culturally authoritative, error-free, or appropriate for every person or community. Regional app trends describe activity inside this app and are not official birth, census, or scientific population statistics.

You retain responsibility for custom names, notes, collection titles, display names, and other content you enter. You grant the service permission to store, process, and synchronize that content only as needed to provide the features you choose.

Do not enter unlawful, abusive, infringing, or highly sensitive information into custom fields.

The initial release does not display third-party advertisements. Pickle uses the service providers described in the Privacy Policy for optional cloud features, security, diagnostics, privacy-region resolution, and product improvement.

A future update may add advertising only after Pickle updates the applicable release configuration, disclosures, consent controls, and store declarations. Any material change will receive the notice or renewed consent required by law.

The app and cloud features may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued. Catalog updates may add, correct, or remove name information. We may limit access when necessary for security, legal compliance, maintenance, or prevention of abuse.

The app is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. It is a naming and organization tool, not medical, legal, cultural, genealogical, or professional advice.

To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of data, or decisions made using catalog or popularity information. Rights that cannot legally be waived remain unaffected.

You may stop using the app at any time. Signed-in users can share a snapshot of locally loaded profile data and delete their account from Settings. Account deletion is permanent and may also dissolve the associated partner group.

We may suspend or end access to cloud features when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, respond to unlawful conduct, comply with law, or address serious or repeated violations of these terms. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

These terms may be updated as the service changes. We will provide additional notice or request renewed acceptance when required for a material change. Otherwise, continued use after updated terms become effective means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law.

The person or entity identified as the developer or seller in Pickle’s App Store and Google Play listings provides the service. For support or questions about these terms, use Contact us in the app or on the Pickle website. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory rights or remedies you have under the law where you live.
